Gramothan Vidhyapeeth opted for applicator using Hydraform Interlocking Compressed Block Making Machine and Masonry System to build sustainable, durable, and cost-effective on-campus faculty housing.

Using precision-engineered interlocking compressed fly ash blocks made from locally available fly ash, sand, and cement, the project replaced conventional fired brick masonry with a faster, more resource-efficient construction method. The interlocking system significantly reduced mortar consumption, minimized material waste, and accelerated construction while maintaining high structural and architectural quality.

The use of locally sourced materials lowered transportation needs and reduced the project’s environmental footprint. The compressed stabilized fly ash blocks also provided excellent thermal insulation, creating more comfortable homes suited to Rajasthan’s extreme climate.

The successful completion of all 12 housing units demonstrated that sustainable construction can be both practical and economical. The project highlights how Hydraform technology delivers faster construction, long-lasting performance, lower embodied carbon, and reduced resource consumption—making it an ideal solution for institutional and residential developments.

Today, the Faculty Housing Complex serves as a benchmark for sustainable construction, inspiring architects, engineers, educational institutions, and government agencies to adopt innovative masonry solutions for greener, more efficient buildings.
